Old Gregg Doll
Crochet Pattern
Is he half man, half fish or more of a 70 / 30 split? You can practice your watercolours or drink Baileys from a shoe with your very own Old Gregg Doll! This is an Intermediate+ level pattern with lots of different parts and sewing required. Making this doll is a bit of a marathon, but it’s worth it to have a friend who can take you to that cool, new club! The head and body are made in one piece, so there’s no fear of a wobbly neck on this manfish.
Using Worsted weight yarn and a 3.5mm hook, our Old Gregg Doll is approximately 22cm tall (sitting down). The size will vary depending on yarn, hook, and tension.
Materials
Worsted weight acrylic yarn (KnitPicks Brava) in
Green (Grass) – 55g (approx. 120m / 130 yards)
Dark Green (Dublin) – 55g (approx. 120m / 130 yards)
Pink (Cotton Candy) – 60g (approx. 130m / 140 yards)
Silver (Dove Heather) – 30g (approx. 65m / 70 yards)
Black – 25g (approx. 55m / 60 yards)
White – 25g (approx. 55m / 60 yards)
Red
3.5mm crochet hook (or to suit your tension)
9mm Black Safety Eyes (not suitable for children under the age of 3 years)
