How do you like your eggs? Sunny side up… Over easy? How about with some beads and a marble? Because… that’s how we like our Fried Egg Fidget. If you also like to play with your food, then this is the perfect pattern for you: you can spin the beads, push the marble, and squish the yolk. We would recommend this project for intermediate amigurumi makers, as we’re using a combination of yarn-under and yarn-over stitches. But we have included lots of pictures, instructions, and links to our Amigurumi 101 series to help you. This pattern only needs a small amount of yarn, so it’s great for using up your scraps!
Materials
DK weight cotton yarn (Bendigo Woollen Mills) in
Yellow 8g (approx. 20m / 22y)
White 15g (approx. 36m / 40y)
Scraps of DK weight cotton yarn in
Black & White for embroidering the face
3.0mm crochet hook (or to suit your tension and yarn)
Marble
9mm Pony Beads x12 (Yellow)
Safety Eyes (8mm) – not suitable for kids under 3 years
Poly Pellets (or polyester filling)
Stitch Marker
Scissors
